2019-2020 Council Awards

Congratulations to our 2019-2020 Council award winners:

Knight of the Year – Jesus Perez.

Jesus has been extremely active since joining the council. He has attended and volunteered at almost every council function. In addition, he has stepped up as a Knight to assist with many areas at our church including Aquinasfest, Pro-Life activities, and more.

Family of the Year – Eric and Barbara Phillips.

Eric is very active in the council and one of our head organizers for our Lenten Fish Fry season. He is also very active with Habitat for Humanity. His wife, Barbra accompanies Eric to assist at many of our functions. She also works in and is a vital part our church office and often assists the council logistically in many of our activities on campus.

Bob Boler Award (for Community Service) – Roger Martinez

Roger Martinez coordinated with the church to provide bus transportation for many to attend this past year’s Pro-Life Day in Austin. He also was heavily involved in the One Hope project, an all faiths gathering that took place at Kyle Field. Roger will be our new Pro-Life committee chairman for the council. In addition, through his work at Texas A&M, he has assisted many students and is working with faculty and staff on efforts to restore faith and morals to the University as a whole.

2020 Lenten Meals

Come join us each Friday of Lent (except Good Friday) starting this Friday, February 28 sponsored by Council 3205. We will be serving meals beginning at 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm (or sold out, whichever comes first).

Meal includes: Fish (baked or fried), french fries, hush puppies, cole slaw, beans, a roll and iced tea. Grilled cheese and Mac and cheese available for children under 12.

$10 for adults / $5 ages 6-12 / free 5 and under.

In the PAC at St. Thomas Aquinas, 2541 Earl Rudder Fwy. S., College Station, TX.

Stations of the Cross service to follow at 7:00 pm in the church.

Council 3205 Educational Scholarships for 2020

2020 Scholarship Applications now being accepted.

Three $1,000.00 Scholarships will be awarded.

Email to mamaerz@yahoo.com to request an application packet.

Completed applications must be received by April 15, 2020.

GUIDELINES
• To be eligible for the 2020 Knights of Columbus Council #3205 Scholarship(s) the applicant must meet one of the following criteria:
o A 2020 High School Senior actively involved in the STAY (St. Thomas Aquinas Youth).
o A member (in good standing) of Knights of Columbus council #3205
o A child, grandchild or great grandchild of a council #3205 member (in good standing or deceased)
• The applicant must be a graduating senior in high school who has been accepted to a two or 4-year college or trade school OR currently enrolled in a two or 4-year college or trade school.
• Previous scholarship winners are not eligible

New 1st/2nd/3rd Degree Exemplification Ceremony

Supreme has announced the new Exemplification ceremony for candidates to become Knights. Council 3205 will be one of the very first councils in the world to use this new ceremony. Watch for more details!
