Good Samaritan Pregnancy Services

Brothers,

Good Samaritan Work Day

Good Samaritan Work Day

We had a great group of Knights and their families come out on
Saturday morning to help Good Samaritan Pregnancy Services get ready
for the new ultrasound machine.  My thanks to brothers Ray Thomas,
Matt Whiteacre, Darrell Lovelette, Dan King, Bob McKee, C. J. Romero,
Jeff Blaszek and Mark Schoenemann for coming out with tools and
expertise to get the job done.  Mark’s daughter, Kara, was also there
to lend Patty Blaszek, Jeff’s wife and Director of Good Samaritan, a
hand with cleaning up the storage shed.  It was really great to see
Bob McKee join us.  Bob is a brand new member having just taken his
first degree on May 26 and he’s already diving into the deep end of
the pool.

With yesterday’s build a success, we are now ready to take the next
step and purchase the ultrasound machine.  The introduction of this
machine will change the game for pro-life forces in our area.  Surveys
indicate that more than 90% of women who see their unborn child on
ultrasound do not have an abortion.

Thanks again to Ray, Darrell, Matt, Dan, Bob, C. J., Jeff, Mark, Kara
and Patty for your enthusiasm and hard work.  If you were not able to
join us this time, believe me, there will be a next time.  I’m looking
forward to seeing you at our first council meeting of the new year,
July 7.  We will recite the rosary in the chapel at 7 pm.  Our meeting
will follow directly after the rosary at 7:30 pm.

2010-2011 KC3205 Budget

Brothers

The Council budget for July 2010 to June 2011 has been posted on
google groups and you can get a copy by clicking here.  Please review this
document prior to our council meeting.  We will vote on this budget on
July 7.

I want to thank our Budget Committee of Adrian Martinez, Tim Murphy,
Darrell Lovelette, Art Barry, Bob Albanese, Russ Kellen, Michael
Hlavinka and Leonard Muesse.  They all worked very hard on crafting a
document that we can be proud of .

I would also like to thank the officers and directors who met on June
16 to review the budget document, suggest any changes and lend their
support.  They were lead by Leonard Muesse our Program Director for
the coming year.

With nearly 300 members we have a council operations budget of
$11,300.00 and a Charity budget of more than $23,000.00.

I hope we will have a big turnout for our meeting on July 7, it’s
important to have all of your input for this budget.
