1st Degree Orientation – Wednesday 6:30pm Sept. 15

Gentlemen,

Our next new member installation, known as a First Degree, will be Wednesday, September 15, in Zurek Hall @ St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in College Station. We would like to have you join us at 6:30 pm for the new member orientation, followed by the first degree at 7:30 pm.

The Knights of Columbus are the largest Catholic fraternal organization in the world. I invite you to visit our web site at www.KofC.org and take a look at what we do. Last year the Knights of Columbus donated $151 million to charity and more than 65 million hours of service. We are the front line of support to the Holy Father, our Bishop Joe, and Fathers Michael and Wade. Our two seminarians, Tom Reitmeyer and Greg Gearhart, receive financial support from us each and every year they are in the seminary. This year our council of 300 men will raise $23,000 for charity, and we will support such institutions as Habitat For Humanity, St. Joseph’s School, St. Vincent Depaul, The Coalition For Life, and Good Samaritan Pregnancy Services.

To join the Knights of Columbus you must be Catholic, and at least 18 years of age. Our annual dues are $50. We ask that you pay your first year of annual dues of just $50 at the first degree on Wednesday night.

We would like for you and your family to become members of our family, a true brotherhood of Catholic men dedicated to charity, unity, fraternity and patriotism. We look forward to you joining us on Wednesday, September 15 at 6:30 pm in Zurek Hall at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.

Watermelon, cantaloupe, grapes, chips, dip and pizza served made everyone happy (including the kids!). … and wow, LOTS and LOTS of kids – the pool was swamped with them!
