Brothers,
It’s hard to believe that it is already November 2010. All Hallows
Eve is tonight, Thanksgiving is in four weeks, then comes Advent and
Christmas. Before you know it we will be wishing friends and family a
Happy 2011!
Monday is November 1st, All Saints Day, and a Holy Day in the Catholic
Church. On Tuesday we celebrate All Souls Day, and the Knights of
Columbus will gather as a Council for mass @ 7 am that day. We had
more than two dozen Knights join us for mass on October 12 to
celebrate Columbus Day. Surely we can get more than two dozen members
to attend mass in honor of our deceased Brother Knights. I’m counting
on a big turn out for our memorial mass on Tuesday November 2nd.
November 2nd is also Election Day. If you have not voted yet, I urge
everyone to cast his ballot on Tuesday. Every election in our country
is historic, but this year we have an opportunity to advance the
Culture of Life like never before. I ask you to prayerfully consider
voting for those candidates that will protect the unborn, our children
and our elderly. Remember, we can’t pray Pro-Life on Sunday and vote
Pro-Choice on Election Day.
Wednesday, November 3rd, is our monthly business meeting. We will
gather to recite the rosary @ 6 pm in the Chapel @ St. Thomas Aquinas
Catholic Church. Our social and dinner will follow immediately
afterwards @ 6:30 pm in Zurek Hall. This month’s program is our own
Fr. Wade talking about his journey to the Priesthood. Our Council
meeting will start promptly at 7:30 pm.
Here are a couple of more dates to keep in mind, Wednesday, November
10, we will have a first degree @ St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in
Bryan. There will be a 2nd and 3rd Degree in Columbus on Sunday,
November 28th.
God Bless,
Ron Gay, FSD
