It’s not everyday that a U.S. Congressman comes to visit, but we were happy to have Bill Flores come to speak with us Brother Knights as our monthly speaker. Thanks to Rick Starnes, who invited the congressman, our Knights got to hear a little about the current agenda of this new member of the Freshman class of Congress.
Bill, as he insisted we call him (instead of Congressman Flores), described to us his 3 layers of priorities with priority A being taking care of the current spending/deficit and taxing situation. One of the Knights of Columbus’s priorities, is supporting the right to life. It was nice to hear that Congressman Flores is a strong advocate for life as cited by the The National Right to Life committee. That was on his priority B list to insist on all rights to life.

While we were intent on listening to Bill, Brother Art Barry and his wonderful wife, Tiffany (along with help from Brother Ralf Trujillo), made us a wonderful feast including dessert. We were all very much appreciative.
Thank you Congressman Flores (Bill) for taking the time to speak with us. Thanks goes to Rick for inviting him and many thanks to the hours of cooking to Art and Tiffany. It was a great monthly meeting (and we had lots of people in attendance).
