Brothers,
Just a reminder of our monthly meeting tomorrow night. We begin with
a rosary in the chapel at 6 pm, followed by food and fellowship in
Zurek Hall from 6:30 to 7:30 pm. Our program this month is from
Brother Dan King. Our meeting will begin promptly at 7:30 pm. It
promises to be an action packed hour, one you will not want to miss.
We will be accepting nominations for a new Warden and a new Inside
Guard to fill vacancies we currently have.
Please join me in welcoming our new Knights! Brothers Pat Zapalac,
Ron Fernandes, Christopher Diem, Adam Falco, Michael Schuett, Bob
McKee, and Bobby Reynoso all took their 2nd and 3rd Degree on Sunday,
October 3. Congratulations to you all for attaining full Knighthood
in our Order.
We held a 1st degree on September 15 and we added two new members to
our roles. Please welcome Brothers Chris Diem and Thadd Hargett into
our ranks.
Speaking of new members, please welcome Fr. Wade Russell to Council
3205. Fr. Russell transfered into our council last month.
In October we have several activities for you to join in. We will
field two teams in the charity golf tournament on October 11
benefitting Catholic Charities. We have our annual Clergy
Appreciation banquet on October 21 at St. Joseph’s Parish in Bryan.
The 2nd annual Hike For Life will be Saturday, October 23 at Steve
Beachy Park in College Station. The annual fundraising dinner for
Good Samaritan Pregnancy Services will be on October 28 at St. Thomas
Aquinas.
We still need help selling raffle tickets, and the 2nd annual wine and
cheese tasting fundraiser is just around the corner on December 8.
So, there’s plenty to do. You do not have to do everything, but we do
hope you’ll pick out the projects that appeal to you and lend a
hand.
