Brothers,
We had a great group of Knights and their families come out on
Saturday morning to help Good Samaritan Pregnancy Services get ready
for the new ultrasound machine. My thanks to brothers Ray Thomas,
Matt Whiteacre, Darrell Lovelette, Dan King, Bob McKee, C. J. Romero,
Jeff Blaszek and Mark Schoenemann for coming out with tools and
expertise to get the job done. Mark’s daughter, Kara, was also there
to lend Patty Blaszek, Jeff’s wife and Director of Good Samaritan, a
hand with cleaning up the storage shed. It was really great to see
Bob McKee join us. Bob is a brand new member having just taken his
first degree on May 26 and he’s already diving into the deep end of
the pool.
With yesterday’s build a success, we are now ready to take the next
step and purchase the ultrasound machine. The introduction of this
machine will change the game for pro-life forces in our area. Surveys
indicate that more than 90% of women who see their unborn child on
ultrasound do not have an abortion.
Thanks again to Ray, Darrell, Matt, Dan, Bob, C. J., Jeff, Mark, Kara
and Patty for your enthusiasm and hard work. If you were not able to
join us this time, believe me, there will be a next time. I’m looking
forward to seeing you at our first council meeting of the new year,
July 7. We will recite the rosary in the chapel at 7 pm. Our meeting
will follow directly after the rosary at 7:30 pm.
